Game Features
Number-Guided Colour Placement
Each zone on the canvas is labelled with a number corresponding to a colour. Tap the correct colour tool, then tap the matching zone to fill it.
- Number-to-colour mapping is shown in a palette bar at the bottom of the screen
- Zones are clearly outlined so the player always knows the boundaries of each area
- Incorrect taps are blocked — only the matching colour fills a numbered zone
Progressive Image Reveal
As zones are filled correctly, a recognisable image emerges from the blank canvas. Completing all zones finishes the picture.
- Images range from simple silhouettes to more detailed multi-zone compositions
- Partial completion already hints at the subject, rewarding mid-session progress
- Finished images can be viewed in full once all zones are coloured
Tap Controls, No Drag Required
The entire game operates on single taps — select a colour, tap a zone. Works on both mouse and touchscreen without precision drawing.
- No freehand drawing is involved — placement is zone-based and forgiving
- Colour selection and zone-filling each require exactly one tap
- Works in-browser on desktop and mobile without installation
Relaxed Pacing, No Timer
There is no time pressure in the default mode. Players work through zones at their own pace.
- No countdown or penalty for slow completion
- Suits short sessions — players can stop mid-image and return
- Difficulty scales with image complexity, not with speed demands
What You Do
Fill a Grid by Number
Each tap fills one region; finish the image to complete the level.
Color Tap is a browser coloring-by-numbers game in which you tap or click numbered regions on a canvas to fill them with the corresponding colour. The grid reveals a finished image as you work through each zone, and the puzzle is complete when every region is correctly coloured.
