Played Before Written
Every entry in Gridwire starts with a play session, not a press release. Modes, controls, and pacing are observed directly before a word is written.
- Control schemes and input methods are tested and described from firsthand use
- Session length and moment-to-moment decisions shape how each entry is framed
- No entry is written from trailers, storefronts, or secondhand summaries
2
No Commercial Ties
Gridwire takes no referral fees, accepts no promotional arrangements, and has no financial relationship with the games it covers.
- Games are not ranked by revenue, partnerships, or sponsorship status
- Entries are selected and written without input from developers or publishers
- No affiliate links or commission structures are attached to any external reference
3
Plain, Factual Entries
Each entry covers what the game asks you to do, how you control it, and where you can open it — stated directly, without padding.
- Modes and objectives are named and described, not implied
- Platform and access information points readers to the actual source
- Writing stays descriptive rather than evaluative or comparative
